Lee Barrott : Lee-athal Latte
Just over four and a half years ago when I arrived at Rebel Business school, I had an idea and a name. By the end of the 10 days, I had a business, had already sold some product and a plan.
I started taking my Lee-thal Latte to the big shows and expos. It went well, and I was selling 100 bottles at most of the shows I did. I even managed to get it into a few cafes and retail shops.
But then….. covid hit! The shows stopped, the cafes and retail stores closed, and I packed Lee-thal Latte away in my garage. As we started to come out of the lockdowns, my full-time business of promoting other companies’ products in the supermarkets took off. I got so busy doing this, I had no time for my own product. Then we got hit by the second wave of covid with Delta reaching our shores. My demonstration business stopped again.
In April of 2022 a friend was having some health issues, so I gave him a bottle of Lee-thal Latte to help. He really enjoyed it but was so frustrated that I had this fantastic product and business just packed away in my garage. With his not so gentle pushing, Lee-thal Latte came out of the garage and back to the markets and shops.
This time, I am not relying on the big expos, I am taking it week after week to a local market. I am having so many repeat customers and making great contacts to grow my business. I have it on the shelves in a local shop too. I have made the decision to put my own product ahead of the companies I was working with in my other business and it is paying off.
I was taught at Rebel business school “Little and often” and this time, that’s exactly what I’m doing.
