Mike started his business ‘LEGO Serious Play Works’ that helps other organizations to unlock their true potential. This is done through the medium of LEGO! Mike believes that it can be used to innovate, ideate, create & encourage diversity; achieve conflict resolution; develop deeper understanding of cultures; and coach teams. Mike stands out with his colorful shirts, loves talking about his work and is keen to do an activity with you involving LEGO. Stacey Williams - Stacey's Cakes
Staceys Cakes is recognised for her extraordinary skill in cake artistry, providing custom cakes tailored to your desire. " I joined the PopUp School to expand my knowledge of running and managing an already established business.
What I learnt from the PopUp School Aotearoa has been invaluable to running any business and I have potentially saved thousands of dollars avoiding business mistakes I would not have seen, had I not attended the course. e.g. Advertising to the wrong demographic and understanding location and property lease contracts. Being able to design one's own website and opening the door to the right people for the right job. Biggest lesson was to understand my own weaknesses and search to hire the right people for that job and learn how to fire well. Those are just a few examples." Thank you so much to the PopUp Business School team for all your support. Website: staceys-cakes.weebly.com/ |

The prize money, along with the wrap around support from the Tolaga Innovation hub means Jessie's business could be up and running by summer 2019. Jeseas Charter is a family run boat business and in Jessie's own words it is "a Maori tikanga-based business that shares our stories, local knowledge and gathering aroha Tangaroa (love of the sea) to share with visitors from all over.” On behalf of us here at PUBSA, well done Jessie.
